For most of our adult lives, we lived on the doorstep of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. But the call of the west was too strong to resist, and we relocated to Bozeman, Montana, a mecca for backcountry recreation. We expect to put our more than 50 years of hiking and backbacking
experience between us to good use. We realize and appreciate that there are already many excellent
backcountry sites on the Web. So we seek to offer something different in the way of trip
reports, gear reviews, and general backcountry advice. We want to hear from you,
